LListbins

FAQ

Short answers from how Listbins works today.

Is Listbins free, and what do I get with 100 items?

A new account gets a 14-day Pro trial with unlimited active items and no card. After the trial, the account is Free: up to 100 active items (draft, unlisted, listed, returned, donated, or discarded). Sold items stay in History and do not count toward that 100. You can track title, SKU, bin, photos, and cost, and mark an item sold. Nothing already saved is deleted when the trial ends.

What does Pro add, what does it cost, and can I cancel?

Pro removes the 100 active-item cap. It costs $144 a year (about 2 months free) or $15 a month, paid through Stripe checkout from Preferences. You can manage or cancel Pro from Preferences, which opens the Stripe billing portal. A complimentary Pro account is not billed.

What happens if a Free account is not used?

A Free account with no sign-in for 12 months is deleted. Listbins emails that account 30 days and 7 days before deletion. Sign in to keep your account. Export to Excel from the Import page. Pro accounts are never removed. An account that has ever paid for Pro is not deleted, including after it returns to Free. Complimentary Pro and an active trial are not removed for inactivity.

What happens past 100 items, or when the trial date passes?

On Free, hitting 100 active items does not delete anything. You can still view, edit, sell, and export. Only new active items and new active import rows are blocked. The 14-day Pro trial is unlimited and does not ask for a card. When that date passes, the account becomes Free. Items stay.

Does Listbins list items on eBay for me?

No. Listbins is inventory tracking, not crosslisting. You can store an eBay item ID on an item. The app does not create or update eBay listings.

Can I import and export Excel?

Yes. The Import page takes a CSV or Excel (.xlsx) file. You can merge it into your inventory or replace everything, and you can export CSV or Excel from the same page. On Free, new active items stop at 100. An active Pro trial imports without that cap.

How do photos work, and why won't my iPhone photo upload?

Each photo is compressed to 500 KB or less when you add it. Pro and an active Pro trial keep every photo, with unlimited photo storage. On Free, only photos on active items count toward a 25 MB limit. Photos of sold items do not count toward that limit. Those sold photos are removed 90 days after the sale. Fourteen days before removal, Listbins shows a notice and a free photo download. The item and its details stay in History. Past the 25 MB limit, new photos on active items are blocked until you delete some or upgrade to Pro ($144/yr, about 2 months free, or $15/mo). Some browsers cannot read the HEIC photos an iPhone takes by default. If an iPhone photo will not upload, go to Settings, then Camera, then Formats, and choose Most Compatible, or share the photo as a JPEG and try again.

Can I use it on my phone at the thrift store?

Yes. The inventory app is a website that fits a phone, with navigation in a bottom bar. It is not an app-store download, and it does not include an offline mode.

Where do Brand Check prices come from, and how often are they updated?

Brand Check ranges are sold-comp research, not a live marketplace feed. Each brand shows its range with an as-of date. Prices are refreshed roughly quarterly. A refresh updates the range and that date, and leaves the tip and verdict alone. A brand left out of a refresh keeps its previous range and date.

How do I suggest a brand or report a wrong price?

Use Suggest a brand, including from a Not rated yet result, and send the name plus an optional category or note. On a brand page, Was this helpful? stores a yes or no for that brand without your account. There is no separate wrong-price form. Suggestions are limited to 5 an hour from the same network.

Who can see my data?

Inventory is stored on your account. The owner’s subscribers page lists each account’s email, plan, signup date, trial end date when there is one, and item count. It does not show item titles, photos, or notes. Saved brands and thumbs up or down load only for the signed-in account. A suggestion stores the brand name, any category or note, and a hash of the network address, not an account. Was this helpful? stores the brand and the yes or no, not your account.

Do you have printable bin labels?

Yes. The free bin labels page makes a PDF for Avery 5163 (2 x 4 in, 10 per sheet) or Avery 5160 (1 x 2-5/8 in, 30 per sheet) on US Letter paper. Pick numbered codes like A1, A2, blank labels, or numbered labels with a QR code. Enter an email and the download starts right away. We send one email with a link to download the same labels again and an unsubscribe link. Tips are only sent if you tick the box.
